Please note Passport returned from courier and non-courier can be collected from BLS – Wafra Square (Al Reem Island) between 05:30 PM to 06:30 PM (Monday to Saturday).
Please ensure to carry your original receipt for collection.

- It is an offence to hold more than one valid passport at a time.
- It is an offence under the Passport Act 1967 to furnish false information in the application. Passport facilities would be denied on grounds of suppression of material information, submission of incorrect particulars, willful damage/loss of passport or for unauthorized change/tampering. The Passport can be impounded or revoked for violation of one or more of the provisions under the Passport Act.
- Processing time and Validity of Passport are the at the sole discretion of passport issuing authorities at Embassy Of India, Abu Dhabi and Consulate General Of India, Dubai.
- Passport issuance is subject to clearance from concerned authorities from India, bases the printable address.
- Birth certificates issued by UAE health authorities may be accepted without MOFA attestation provided the certificate can be verified through a verification link or QR code.
- It is absolutely necessary to use your recent original Indian Passport details whilst filling your Passport Application. Incorrect address may cause delay in the issuance of Passport.
- Two addresses should be furnished as required in the application form, one Indian address and other / current address in UAE. Kindly mention the correct and the complete Indian address in application for purpose of police verification. Please ensure that there is complete postal address including the pin code legibly. Also mentioned the police station correctly. Please check if there is any change in the official name of the place or district or police station and provide the latest correct information.
- Police Verification: Passport applicants may kindly note that the prior police verification (Pre - PV) in India is mandatory in certain cases where it is required as per the Passport rules and regulation. Time taken for verification by the State Police authorities differ from State to State. Since State Police Authorities in India are authorized up to 30 days for completing verification, applicants are advised to make provision for sufficient days for application processing, which involves Document and Data Verification, Granting, Police Verification, Printing, Lamination and Dispatch of Passports.
- The application will be REJECTED on technical grounds if there is a variance with information in passport.
- The rejected application will be returned to the applicant and they will have to redo the entire process.
- The Fee is not refundable in any case.
CASES EXCLUDED FROM TATKAL CATEGORY
Tatkal passports cannot be issued to persons falling in the following categories:-
- Lost/stolen cases
- Change in appearance
- Change/Correction in entries of Passport: name, sex, date/place of birth, parent/spouse name and signature
- Persons of Nagaland or J&K origin
- Adopted children
- Minors whose Parents are divorced or separated
- Renewal of Short Validity Passport
- Passport damaged beyond recognition cases.
- Fresh issue of passports to citizens of India by Registration/Naturalization (granted citizenship by MHA)
- Applicants who have been habitual losers or who had earlier travelled on forged or fake passports
- Proceedings in respect of an offence alleged to have been committed by the applicant are pending before a criminal court in India
- The applicant has at any time during the period of five years preceding the date of application, been convicted by a court in India for any offense involving moral turpitude and sentenced in respect thereof to imprisonment for not less than two years
