Republic of Cyprus Visa Document Submission
General Information
- Visa applications are accepted on a walk-in basis, without prior appointment, at all BLS Visa Application Centers during document submission hours.
- The applicant's personal presence is not required. Documents may be submitted by an authorized representative under a power of attorney. When submitting documents under a power of attorney, a notarized copy of the power of attorney and copies of the identity documents of all persons named in the power of attorney must be provided.Biometric data are not required.
- Foreign nationals legally residing in the Republic of Kazakhstan may apply for a Republic of Cyprus visa if they hold a valid Residence Permit (RP) or Temporary Residence Permit (TRP) issued by the Republic of Kazakhstan. This requirement does not apply to citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic, who may apply without a Kazakh RP or TRP.
- A visa application may be submitted no earlier than six (6) months before the intended date of travel.
- The standard processing time is 7–15 working days. In certain cases, processing may take longer depending on the Embassy's workload or if additional document verification is required.
Document Order
Documents must be prepared separately for each applicant, regardless of age. A visa is issued and affixed individually to each applicant's passport.
Before submitting your application, please ensure that your documents are arranged in the following order:
- Visa application form (printed single-sided, completed in English only) and 2 photographs.
- Copy of the passport biographical data page and copies of all previous visas.
- For minors: Copy of the parent(s)' identity document(s);If applicable, a notarized authorization for accompaniment and a copy of the accompanying person's identity document.
- Medical insurance.
- Round-trip flight reservation to airports in the Republic of Cyprus.
- Hotel reservation or other proof of accommodation (if applicable). Cancellation of the accommodation booking after the visa has been issued may result in cancellation of the visa.
- Proof of financial means: Employment certificate, student certificate, or company registration documents; Bank statement covering the last two weeks, containing a QR code or bearing the original bank stamp and the signature of an authorized bank officer.
If the applicant's expenses are covered by a sponsor (guarantor): Letter of financial guarantee; Documents confirming the sponsor's financial capacity; Copy of the sponsor's identity document.
- Additional supporting documents (if applicable).
Important Information
- All documents must be complete and signed.
- Applications missing a required signature or mandatory document will not be accepted.
- The application form may be completed either by hand or electronically and must then be printed.

4. Medical Insurance |
- The insurance policy must cover the entire period of stay in the Republic of Cyprus.
- Minimum insurance coverage: EUR 30,000.
- The policy must cover:
- Emergency medical treatment;• Hospitalization;
- Medical repatriation.

5. Round-trip Flight Reservation |
- Flight reservation to and from airports in the Republic of Cyprus.

6. Proof of Accommodation |
- Proof of accommodation is required.
- Accommodation bookings must not be cancelled after visa issuance.
- If staying in a hotel – hotel booking confirmation. If staying with a host:
- Assumption of Responsibility for Hosting Non-Cypriot Guests form.
- Copy of the host's passport and residence permit.
- Host's employment certificate.
- Bank statement from a Cypriot bank.
- Rental agreement or proof of property ownership.

- Employer's leave approval letter.
- For self-employed applicants – business registration documents.
- For pensioners – copy of the pension certificate. If the applicant is unemployed:
- Sponsorship letter.
- Sponsor's bank statement.

8. Proof of Financial Means |
- Bank statement for the last three months.
- Available funds equivalent to at least EUR 100 per day of intended stay.
- The bank statement must contain a QR code or be submitted in its original form with the bank's stamp and the signature of an authorized bank officer.

9. Documents for Minors |
- Birth certificate.
- Copy of the parent(s)' identity card or passport. Where applicable:
- Notarized consent from both parents.
- Notarized authorization for the accompanying person.
- Notarized consent from the non-travelling parent.
- Copy of the accompanying person's identity document.
- Copies of the accompanying person's flight tickets.

Important Information
The Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus reserves the right to request additional documents whenever deemed necessary.
The following documents may also be requested:
- Bank statements for the last three months.
- Savings account/passbook records.
- Documents confirming marital or family status.
- Previous passports.
- Certificate issued by the Migration Service.
- Additional documents for minors confirming parental consent and family relationship.
Travel Insurance for Schengen Visa
Travel Insurance certificate must be submitted at the visa application center as it is a mandatory requirement for applicants travelling to Cyprus. You may get your travel insurance from any authorized insurance company or you may click here links if you wish to avail this optional service now.

Photo specifications
Two [2] photographs of passport style and size [35 x 45 mm] for all applicants, including minors. Your photograph must be:
- COLOR PHOTO (passport-size 35mm x 40mm)
- Photograph without specs.
- Face 70-80% of the height of the photo.
- taken without headgear
- head coverings and hats are only acceptable due to religious beliefs, and even then, may not cover any portion of the applicant's face
- taken against a plain, evenly lit and light background.
Processing time
The processing at the Embassy of Cyprus is not more than 10 working days.
