Consular & Attestation Services – New Application Process

Effective from 31 August 2026, all applications for Consular & Attestation Services must be submitted online through the SEWA portal using the link below:

https://indianconsularservices.mea.gov.in/consularServices/

Applicants are required to:

  • Complete the registration and application through the SEWA portal.
  • Upload all required scanned documents on SEWA.
  • Obtain an appointment and submit the original documents, along with the required supporting documents and applicable fees at BLS INTERNATIONAL.

Applicants are strongly advised to complete the SEWA application and document upload process before visiting the BLS INTERNATIONAL centre.

Consular & Attestation Services – New Application Process

Applicants are required to:

  • Complete the registration and application through the SEWA portal.
  • Upload all required scanned documents on SEWA.
  • Obtain an appointment and submit the original documents, along with the required supporting documents and applicable fees at BLS INTERNATIONAL.

Applicants are strongly advised to complete the SEWA application and document upload process before visiting the BLS INTERNATIONAL centre.

To obtain an NRI Certificate you would need the following documents:

  • Applicants have to come in person to apply for NRI
  • Applicants have to bring employers letter mentioning period of stay in Singapore (Issued not less than 6 months) or Singapore Blue NRIC
  • Original Passport to be submitted along with application. For the evidence of FIRST ENTRY into Singapore applicant must submit previous passports.
  • Applicants need to have resided in Singapore for more than 6 months to obtain NRI status.
  • Copy of IC and Passport is required.
  • Processing time is 3 to 5 working days.
  • Online Application Form for NRI certificate
  • * One clear photograph 51mm*51mm (not older than three months, no uniform) with white background and DARK COLOR DRESS with frontal view. Eyes open, Ears, forehead & chin to be completely visible, no shadows on the face and neck.
  • * One proof of Singapore address (e.g., a utility bill or a bank statement issued in Singapore).
